Advance Diploma in Industrial Safety (ADIS) -Full Time
Under the affiliation of West Bengal State Council of Technical & Vocational Education & Skill Development.

The Association is conducting job specific Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety (ADIS) course since 2013.

The course is affiliated by the West Bengal State Council of Technical & Vocational Education & Skill Development (WBSCT&VE&SD). The Curriculum for this Course “Advance Diploma in Industrial Safety” are divided in 2 (two) semesters for full-time students.

The course is meant to train manpower which is statutorily required under the provisions of the Factories Act, the Building & other construction worker’s Act and relevant Rules of the Government. This relates to employment as Safety Officers / Supervisor in Manufacturing & Construction Industries as “Advance Diploma in Industrial Safety” is the qualification for being a Safety official.

The course starts in July / August of the current year and continues till December of the following year or more as per situation and examination schedule of WBSCT & VE&SD.

Eligibility for Admission:

• A degree in Engineering / Technology of a recognized University approved by AICTE.

OR

• A degree in Science of a recognized University approved by UGC with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.

OR

• A Diploma in any branch of Engineering / Technology recognized by the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education.

Duration:

Full-time Course: 1 year (Two Semesters of six months duration)

• Semester-1 & 2 is of 17 weeks duration of which 15 weeks for contact week, 2 weeks for Internal Assessment.
• Each week consists of 30 contact periods including tutorials and practical. Each period will be of one-hour duration.Part-I, II each is 15 weeks duration out of six months.
• Mark distribution in Semester 1 & 2: 550 in Semester - 1 and 650 in Semester - 2: Total 1200.
• Hour of examination for semester examination is 3 hours.
• Classes will be held five days in a week for the one-year course.
